About Adam Baus
Dr. Adam Baus is a Research Assistant Professor with the West Virginia University School of Public Health, Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences, and Director of the West Virginia University Office of Health Services Research, School of Public Health. He is in his 19th year at the West Virginia University Office of Health Services Research, currently serving as Director. He conducts applied and practice-based research efforts for improved health outcomes. He serves as Principal Investigator on numerous, concurrent federal and state-based funded efforts and serves as Co-Investigator for a variety of data-driven efforts focused on improving the quality of patient care and population health outcomes while reducing burden on the health care system.

Research Interests
The West Virginia University School of Public Health, Office of Health Services Research (OHSR) has a long history of commitment to and partnership with state and local public health, primary care, and community health partners to address priority health disparities. The work of OHSR centers on empowering clinic and community partners to achieve the triple aim of enhanced patient-level care, improved population health metrics, and over time a more efficient health care system. Recent peer-reviewed research from OHSR highlights these efforts, and provides context to the health informatics and analytics support provided to primary care and community-based partners. The research trajectory, teaching, and training commitment of OHSR centers on empowering partners to more fully leverage data for decision making, program evaluation, and overall quality of care improvement.
